Michael John Myers was born on May 25, 1963, in Scarborough, Ontario, Canada, to Eric Myers, an insurance agent and World War II veteran, and Alice E. Myers, an office supervisor and ‘Royal Air Force’ veteran.
He has two older brothers, Peter Myers and Paul Myers, the latter of whom is a singer-songwriter in the indie rock genre. Mike was raised in a protesting family.
In Scarborough, Ontario, he attended the ‘Bishopbriggs Academy,’ later renamed the ‘Sir John A. Macdonald Collegiate Institute.’ He graduated from Scarborough, Ontario’s ‘Stephen Leacock Collegiate Institute.’ He began appearing in commercials when he was eight years old. He had created a commercial for ‘British Columbia Hydro Electric’ by the age of ten.
