Doutzen started her modelling career in the year 2003, in the Netherlands and was immediately sent to New York by her agency where she was casted by Victoria’s Secret lingerie brand. From 2008 until 2014, she has been a Victoria’s Secret Angel. Since 2006, she’s been a brand ambassador for L’Oréal Paris. Since 2008, Doutzen was ranked first for being highest-paid model, with an approximate income of more than $5 million per year. In 2014, she was ranked second on the list of Forbes top-earning models, likely to have earned $8 million in one year. As of December 2015, she was ranked first for “New Supers” in the fashion industry and titled as “Helen of Troy of advertising” by Models.com. She was the first model to get four different solo international covers of Vogue’s September issue in a single year during 2013.
